What does Empowering Women mean to you?
Providing women with tools they can incorporate into their lives that will assist them in
overcoming any obstacle that comes their way.
How did you get started working in your field?
Before I became a Certified Coach, I was a Certified Rape Crisis Counselor, then founded an organization that served victims and survivors of sexual assault during their recovery process through curriculum-based courses. I learned from my story of sexual trauma and the clients I served that beyond our healing from the trauma, we must strengthen our emotional muscles. I found that leaning into emotional intelligence can help us do that. I quickly realized that emotional healing is a critical first step, and maintaining emotional stability is essential to living an abundant life.
What do you love most about your job? / What are you most proud of?
I have endured challenging situations, and once I decided to heal and recover, I was empowered. Then, I discover the beauty of going back and supporting others, which is priceless! I thrive when I can help others evolve into a better, more resilient version of themselves and live a purposeful, productive, and powerful life!
What advice would you give to someone considering this line of work?
As you help others, I encourage you to continue working on yourself. Your personal growth should be an ongoing priority. It's much easier to support others when you take good care of yourself first.
