Dr. Lindsay Birt, Client Solutions Manager with Xylem, has extensive experience in water resource engineering, including nutrient management, in stream water quality monitoring and modeling, storm water management, sustainable design and performance assessments, geospatial information systems, stakeholder engagement and decision making, watershed management, and digital solutions for collections systems and wastewater treatment. She currently serves as the Watershed Committee Chair for the Illinois Water Environment Association. In September 2021, Dr. Birt was awarded the US Water
Alliance One Water Rising Leader and in May 2021 received a Certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace from University of South Florida. Also, in 2020 she was selected to be part of the first cohort of US Water Alliance, Rising Professionals. Dr. Birt completed a Ph.D. in Agricultural and
Biological Engineering from Purdue University with an emphasis in Environmental & Natural Resources Engineering. She holds a M.S. and B.S. in Biological and Agricultural Engineering from Texas A&M
University.

She has an extensive background in B2B marketing, communications, and public relations. As a marketer, she is a passionate brand advocate and has worked over the past two decades helping leading companies build engaging brands and telling their stories. 

Nadia is a 17-year-old high school senior who worked for ABB during her junior year as an operations
intern and is working this school year as a manufacturing apprentice. After a plant tour in 8th grade, Nadia declared her intention to become a Robotics Engineer. She is well on her way to achieving this vision and is planning to earn her associates degree in electronics technology around the time of high school graduation. In her spare time, she is also involved in cross country, track, and wrestling.
