About the Event
We would like to invite you, our Empowering Women in Industry community, to get together via zoom!  We can share & connect while asking questions and chatting about being essential to keeping the world running. We want to continue to be here for you! Join us and share how we can help EMPOWER you and your community! We are excited to have Amy Seymour as our June guest speaker. She will be joining us to talk "The Journey Through Manufacturing as a Working Mom". She will share her story along with the successes and failures that led her to where she is at today and that cultivated the type of leader she is today. We need to share how achieving balance in your life as a woman, working mother, and as an ambitious and driven professional - is possible!
About Amy:
Amy Seymour is currently the Director of Global Operations at Interactive Training Systems, Inc. (ITS), based out of Fenton, Michigan. For over 55 years, ITS has been supporting hundreds of global manufacturing companies to deliver their equipment with high quality documentation. A recipient of the 2022 Innovation Excellence Award from the Michigan Manufacturers Association has highlighted the innovative staff, products, and services that Amy has the honor to co-lead.
Prior to joining ITS, Amy spent nearly a decade supporting Stellantis Manufacturing in a variety of roles. What started as a career in CapEx Investments with Stellantis led to a challenging and rewarding career path through the entire Automotive Manufacturing Industry. Amy was nominated and selected into the Manufacturing Leadership Development Program in 2015 and while rotating through all the different departments in the Manufacturing world (Logistics, Environmental Health and Safety, Stamping, Assembly, Manufacturing Engineering, and Powertrain), simultaneously earned her MBA from Walsh College.
In her most recent role at Stellantis, Amy was the North American Lead on the Central Maintenance Team, responsible for standardizing maintenance activities in General Assembly shops across North America. In 2021, Amy joined ITS, and now co-leads an innovating and inspiring team, bringing documentation and training solutions to the fingertips of those who need it, the moment they need it.
Amy is an advocate for working mothers, and parents, in all industries, a dedicated wife, and a loving mother of 3 young, bright, and beautiful children ages 4, 6 and 13. She rarely misses a sporting event for her children (and trust me, there’s a lot!), is the co-team manager for her son’s travel hockey team, a swim instructor and pool deck coordinator at a local gym, and podcast host of The Mother Load, coming 2024. Her greatest advice is to just be human and be kind, the rest will work itself out.
