What does Empowering Women in Industry mean to you? Moving through life without excuses or apologies. We as women are fully empowered, we have to learn to push when needed, speak our minds, ask for what we want. Being female has everything to do with strength.
How did you get started in your field? I started in 1978 as a temporary assignment, as life often opens doors for us. I loved the Fluid Sealing Industry. 41 years later.....I'm still loving the Industry.
What do you love most about your job? What are you most proud of? Our efforts are only measured by the Success of our customers (partner). When our customers relay they couldn't meet their objectives without our team. It makes it all worth while. My daughter, Mistie, has worked most of her career in this business, seeing her grow and make this her own, is rewarding beyond measure.
What advice would you give to someone considering this line of work? Be bold, be yourself, don't take anything personally, be prepared, not everyone will like you and that is OKAY.
Anything else you would like to add? Enjoy the work you choice to do, it shines like a beacon - or - if you don't that shows too.
