On April 11th, 2024, Tuscaloosa’s Historic Drish House buzzed with energy as 36 ambitious women business owners and entrepreneurs gathered for a day of invaluable insights and practical strategies. At the Spring 2024 GROW & Flourish workshop, five inspiring speakers shared their expertise on how to overcome personal roadblocks, balance the responsibilities of family and business, build business credit for sustainable growth, network with intention, and set goals for momentum. Attendees also had time to work on their business by identifying their dream customers and setting business and personal goals for the next month.
Where competition can often overshadow collaboration, founder Heather Falls has made sure that the GROW & Flourish events foster an environment where women support one another, share knowledge, and collectively rise. The April event not only equipped attendees with invaluable business resources and tips, but also contributed to a greater cause benefiting the Tuscaloosa Safe Center, through raffle ticket sales, vendor fees, and donations. Tuscaloosa Safe Center is a sexual assault resource center, providing compassionate patient centered care to survivors. They are the first line of response for individuals who have been sexually assaulted.
By blending business development and community outreach, the Tuscaloosa GROW & Flourish workshops have become known as the place for women who want to grow their business, find a like-minded supportive community, and give back to women and children in need.
Excitement for future events is already buzzing. The next workshop will take place in October and will bring together women from Alabama and surrounding states who have a desire to learn, grow, and make a positive impact.
In a world where barriers often stand in the way of women’s business dreams, these events are helping women shatter obstacles and creating a space where women can thrive.
