What does Empowering Women in Industry mean to you?
Empowering women means that I get to inspire women to look past their outer image and help develop confidence in who they are. It means I get to help them shift their mindset from negative self talk and show them they can do anything they want to do. I want to empower them to take control of their life and know they can do anything.
How did you get started in your field?
I made a decision one day that I wanted to help women be able to look past their outer image whatever it may be and learn to be confident. I was born with birth marks and grew up with scars starting around the age of 5. I've spent most of my life lacking confidence and telling myself I looked weird and different. After 2 years of shifting that mindset, I want to help others do the same.
What do you love most about your job? What are you most proud of?
I love that I get to help people learn to do what I've done. I get to help people change their lives and be happy with themselves. Getting to see that mindset shift lead to satisfaction and fulfillment is empowering. Knowing that that internal distress I put myself through growing up was for a purpose makes it worth the struggle.
What advice would you give to someone considering this line of work?
No matter how much people tell you you're crazy and you can't do it, keep going. By telling your story, you are changing lives even if you can't actually see it. Your story needs to be heard. Keep going.
Anything else you would like to add?
I have been looking to serve people and women as much as possible. My story is powerful and it has been in the making my whole life. It is also never over. Please help me to reach as many people as possible.
