What does Empowering Women in Industry mean to you? I love the saying that empowered women empower other women! When we help each other, we can reach great heights.
How did you get started in your field? I started out photographing families and kids and loved doing that for many years. But when I started shooting boudoir, I knew that I had found something special that I wanted to specialize in. I love showing women their unique beauty through the art of boudoir photography and watching them gain confidence in my studio.
What advice would you give someone considering this line of work? Don't be afraid of the hard work it takes to run a small business! Photography isn't all pretty photos. Be an excellent business owner first and an excellent artist second. That may sound backward to some, but it doesn't matter how pretty your photos are if you can't deliver them to your customers with stellar service.
What do you love most about your job? What are you most proud of? The first time that a woman texted me after a photo shoot and said, "I feel like a new woman - my confidence is through the roof!" I knew that the work I was doing through photography was making a difference in women's lives.
