Meet Tricia Doty: A Leader in the Pump and Wastewater Industry

Writer: albrewstergraningalbrewstergraning

Tricia Doty has been a member of Liberty Pumps since 2014. After being a stay-at-home mom for 10 years, she took the brave step to start her career in the assembly department as an assembler. Never did she know that this entry-level position would ignite her passion, interest, and dedication to the pump and wastewater industry. In 2019, she was promoted to Assistant Supervisor. In January of 2020, she was once again promoted, this time to Supervisor of Assembly, the position she currently holds. Throughout her tenure at Liberty Pumps, her focus has been on self-improvement. Equally important to Tricia is the growth of her team, creating unity with collaboration and communication.

In 2024, she was diagnosed with Stage IV Colorectal Cancer. This diagnosis afforded Tricia the opportunity to realize the benefits of a positive mindset and being part of a strong team. During Tricia’s journey of facing and overcoming this disease, she received an outpouring of support, love, and encouragement from family, friends, and co-workers. Tricia quickly realized that it was her own positive outlook, years of helping others be their best self, and surrounding herself with people of optimism and faith that was pivotal in the success of her treatment and healing. Tricia recognized that others facing this same challenge may not have the support needed to overcome this type of battle. This has led to Tricia’s desire to become an advocate for wellness and a proactive healthy lifestyle.

Professionally, Tricia has been an instrumental part of the Leadership Development Committee, Events Committee, and ESOP Committee. As well she has also continued her education in Leadership Development, Conflict Resolution, Effective Communication, team building, and Creating Connections. Tricia is a member of Leadership Genesee class of 2020 and a committee member for the Walk of Hope. When Tricia has spare time, you can find her as a volunteer instructing horseback riding lessons for youth, motivational speaking at women’s wellness retreats, trail riding with her daughter, spending time with her family, and enjoying nature.

Tricia recognizes that her accomplishments, success, and ability to overcome life’s challenges are attributed to her positive outlook, cultivating a solid community, and a foundation of tenacity and strong faith.
