Meet Vanessa Valente: Television Personality

What does Empowering Women mean to you?

Empowering women means giving them the tools, confidence, and opportunities to reclaim their voices, build their independence, and step fully into their potential. It’s about creating spaces where women feel seen, heard, and valued—whether in business, relationships, or personal growth. To me, empowerment is not just about encouragement; it’s about action, providing resources, mentorship, and real-life strategies that help women thrive. When women empower each other, we shift generational narratives and create lasting impact.

How did you get started working in your field?

My journey has been anything but conventional. I started in reality television, which gave me a platform, but I quickly realized I wanted to use my visibility for something bigger. Coming from a corporate and military background, I had already built expertise in contracting, procurement, and program management, but my true passion was in advocacy and mentorship. This led me to found Peaceful Pathway, a support group for women navigating grief, breakups, and emotional recovery. Through this, I saw the transformative power of community, and it fueled my mission to uplift, educate, and inspire through speaking engagements, content creation, and mentorship.

What do you love most about your job? / What are you most proud of?

I love that my work bridges empowerment with real-world action. Whether I’m mentoring women, speaking on stage, or leveraging my business expertise, I get to be a part of transformative moments in people’s lives. Seeing someone go from self-doubt to confidence, from feeling stuck to taking action—that’s what drives me.

I’m most proud of the community I’ve built and the impact of Peaceful Pathway. It started as a support system, but it’s evolved into a movement of resilience and empowerment. Watching women regain their strength, step into leadership, or rebuild after hardship reminds me why I do this. Empowerment isn’t just a word—it’s a responsibility, and I’m proud to live it daily.

What advice would you give to someone considering this line of work?

Be authentic and intentional about the message you want to share. Whether you’re entering media, public speaking, advocacy, or leadership, your story and experiences matter—own them. Build genuine connections, because relationships will open more doors than credentials alone. Also, be prepared for resilience; this work requires confidence, consistency, and the ability to adapt and evolve. Most importantly, never stop learning—the more knowledge and experience you gain, the greater your impact will be.

Anything else you would like to add?

Empowering women isn’t just a mission—it’s a responsibility. Every action we take, whether in business, relationships, or leadership, sets the tone for the next generation. The more we uplift each other, the more we shift the narrative. I encourage every woman to take up space, use her voice, and never settle for less than she deserves.
