What does Empowering Women mean to you?
Women are more capable than we give ourselves credit. When you empower a woman, you encourage her to step outside her comfort zone, face her fears, and support her as she starts to soar.
How did you get started working in your field?
I didn't just want a job. I wanted to do something that mattered. Being a power engineer, I'm helping to make sure the grid is safe, secure, sustainable, affordable, and reliable. I have the #powertomakeadifference.
What do you love most about your job? / What are you most proud of?
I love that I was able to bootstrap a successful engineering firm. I'm showing first hand that it can be done. I hope to pave the path for other women to follow.
What advice would you give to someone considering this line of work?
As we transition to cleaner energy, we need all of the talent we can get. This is a complex puzzle to solve, if you are interested, please consider joining the team and becoming a power engineer. We need you.
