Meet Jenni Prisk, Founder of Voices of Women

What does Empowering Women mean to you?

Leveraging women and their platforms to a level where they can be seen, heard and recognized!

How did you get started working in your field?

My speech coaching career of 30 years has always included women, Watching a woman find her voice, her place and her power continues to be thrilling. I have chaired two commissions on the status of women, founded a non-profit - Voices of Women - am a member of Global Women NZ where I profile stories about the incredible members, and mentor younger women who are growing in their professions.

What do you love most about your job? / What are you most proud of?

I'm most proud of moving from my native New Zealand in 1983 to San Diego and founding an executive coaching business that continues today. My greatest delight is seeing my clients reach their potential as speakers and presenters. Also when I deliver a keynote presentation, I am honored when I see my message resonate with the audience.

What advice would you give to someone considering this line of work?

Start now! You can do it! Surround yourself with mentors and supporters who believe in you. Research and discover how you can fill a space in the market. Believe in yourself and your power.

Anything else you would like to add?

Thank you for your work to empower women. We are all in this together. One of us is never as good as the sum of us. Women must support other women!
