Empowering Women means, no matter how frustrated you may feel in your career right now, there are always things you haven’t tried. There are strategies you haven’t implemented, conversations you haven’t had, relationships you haven’t built. At the end of the day, your next promotion is in YOUR hands, and it’s completely in your power to get curious, figure things out, and do what it takes to unlock a new level of your career and life.
How did you get started working in your field?
Stacy Mayer is the bestselling author of 'Promotions Made Easy' a step-by-step guide to the executive suite, a certified Executive Coach and Promotion Strategist, a mother and wife living in Silicon Valley, CA, and the creator of Executive Ahead of Time, a life-time access group coaching program she founded to help corporate women get promoted to the executive suite on their terms.
She is the host of the 'Women Changing Leadership with Stacy Mayer' podcast where she tackles topics like executive presence, getting more respect in the workplace from challenging bosses and team members, and avoiding the common mistakes that sabotage career advancement. Her podcast attracts powerhouse corporate women across multiple industries who are creating massive change at their organizations from the c-suite out.
What do you love most about your job? / What are you most proud of?
The ability to support women and see them succeed in their careers is the most exciting part. We are on a mission to change industries for the better and that starts with more women in leadership.
What advice would you give to someone considering this line of work?
I work with corporate women leaders who want to advance to high-level leadership positions so they can change the way business is run from the C-Suite out. The most important piece of advice I could give is that what it takes to succeed in their current role is completely different than what it takes to get promoted to higher levels of leadership. That’s why everything I teach is to help you start showing up and being seen as an executive leader – even before you receive the title.
